The fare is per vehicle, not per person: a group of three pays what one person pays. It applies in both directions, in low season and high season alike, to every Rome address inside the Grande Raccordo Anulare (GRA), EUR included; for Fiera di Roma, Ostia and other addresses outside the GRA the price is worked out for the route requested and sent as a quote. Fuel, tolls and air conditioning are included. The price appears in the booking form and is confirmed before payment.

The Executive category (Mercedes S-Class, BMW 7 Series or similar) has no published fare and is always on request. Two surcharges may apply, and they are cumulative: +20% for requests sent less than 24 hours ahead and +10% for departures between 22:00 and 05:59. Each intermediate stop, up to five and provided it is reasonably on the way, adds €25. The other routes with a published fare are on the fares page.
How the transfer to and from the port works
The service is arranged around your ship’s details: in the request, give the ship’s name and cruise line, the boarding deadline or the expected disembarkation time, your address in Rome, passengers and luggage. From those we work out the terminal, the meeting point and the pick-up time. The port has several terminals and ships berth at different quays: the ship’s name tells us more than the port’s generic address.
- Booking and confirmation. Choose the route, date, time and category in the form, which shows the total straight away. The booking is final only after our explicit confirmation.
- Meeting point. On disembarkation the driver waits for you with a sign bearing your name at the point arranged for your ship, usually Largo della Pace. On the way to the ship, pick-up is at the address you give in Rome and drop-off at your ship’s terminal.
- Waiting included. The ship’s timing is monitored and the driver is told of any delay: waiting is included for up to 30 minutes from the agreed pick-up time.
- Luggage and vehicle. The Economy+ takes up to three passengers with two large suitcases and one piece of hand luggage per person; Business and Electric up to four passengers with two suitcases. Above four passengers, or above two large suitcases, the category is the Minivan, for up to eight people and six or more suitcases. Child seats on request.
- Payment. Online by card when you book, or in cash to the driver at the end of the ride with a 30% deposit paid online.
- Cancellation. Free up to 24 hours before the pick-up time.

Journey times, alternatives and vehicles
The port is about 70 km from Rome and the drive usually takes 60–90 minutes depending on where you start, almost all of it on the A12 motorway; the least predictable part is getting out of the city. How much is the transfer from the port of Civitavecchia to Rome for four people?
With four passengers and two large suitcases the category is the Business or the Electric: €180 per vehicle, one way, the same in both directions. For up to three passengers the Economy+ at €165 is enough; from five passengers, or with more than two large suitcases, you need the Minivan at €220.
Is the price per person or per vehicle?
Per vehicle: in Economy+, Business and Electric the fare is the same for one passenger or three, and in the Minivan for up to eight. Fuel, tolls and waiting at disembarkation are included.
What happens if the ship arrives late or disembarkation is slow?
The driver is told of any delay to the ship, and waiting is included for up to 30 minutes from the agreed pick-up time. Passengers leave in groups called by the ship, within a window decided on board, so the exact time is not known in advance: give the ship’s name and the expected disembarkation time in the request.
Where do I meet the driver at the port, and where am I dropped off in Rome?
At the gathering point arranged for your ship, usually Largo della Pace: the exact spot and how to recognise each other come with the confirmation. In Rome the driver drops you outside your hotel or, if the street is in a restricted-traffic or pedestrian zone, at the nearest practicable point, stated before confirmation.

Yes: online by card when you book, or in cash to the driver at the end of the ride with a 30% deposit paid online. Either way the total is the one shown in the form; cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the pick-up time.
