Ciampino Airport (CIA) is about 15 km from central Rome, closer than Fiumicino. Journey time by car is generally 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic and time of day. Unlike Fiumicino, Ciampino has no train station of its own: any rail connection requires an additional leg to reach the nearest station.
